Helpful Tips for Searching Effectively
In general, the more criteria you enter into the search screen, the faster your search results will appear. However, if you enter too many criteria, your query may deliver no results. If this happens, you might try selecting only by organization type or by state to broaden your search. Keyword Search The keyword search is not case sensitive and will find the word or exact phrase anywhere within the detailed description of services offered. Partial words are generally not matched unless they are stems (for example, "nurse" will match both "nurses" and "nursing"). The keyword search will not match on stems if you choose "search for exact phrase." Category Search When searching the Main Directory, you should specify at least one category. Multiple categories can also be specified (hold down the SHIFT or CONTROL keys when clicking with your mouse). Organization/Location Search All of these fields are optional. However, entering a value for one or more of these fields may help to speed your search. Navigation Tips You can move around within this web site by clicking on any of the words in the navigation bar at the bottom of every page, or by using the toolbar on the left-hand side of the Guide's search screens. Clicking on the "back" button at the top of your browser will return you to a previous page. Use the gray scroll bar on the right side of your screen to move up and down through the current page.
